Countertops

There are many considerations when choosing the right counters for your kitchen or bath. Wood is a wonderful choice, and when done right can be just as durable as natural stone. Consider the following.

Only certain woods will qualify

Counters must be able to stand up to the harshest treatment, the scraping of pots and pans, constantly being wet, and being cleaned and wiped daily. This means that our wooden counters are made only from the hardest and most stable woods available such as oak, maple, and ash just to name a few.

Work with the wood, not against it.

Like many materials that our homes are constructed of, wood undergoes intense fluctuations in width through seasonal changes. Recognizing this and working with this movement is one of the hardest aspects of woodworking, but is also the trick to very long lasting furniture.
