Everything we made for the barber shop was constructed with three primary materials, wood, steel and concrete. We kept all of the materials raw, and the lines clean to go along with the modern feel the owners were after. All of the concrete was cast and finished by the masonry masters at C & P masons of Randolph, NJ. A plethora of joinery solutions were used to construct the desk, shelves and drawers. These include finger joints, mortise and tenon, and internal splines. Again this was all left 'raw' and exposed so the viewer can see immediately how these large pieces fit together.
